Riad Al Zahia Hotel Essaouira, Essaouira

The hotel had lovely, clean rooms with a 4-poster bed and provided a cot for the baby, making it comfortable for families. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, but some services were not free of charge. Its location in the old town allowed easy access to great restaurants and charming local markets, although the dining experience was average. The facilities were well-maintained, offering a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The hotel offers beautiful and spacious rooms but lacks the charm present in other riads at similar price points. The service is nice and helpful, with great potential with more attention to detail. The location is ideal in Essaouira's medina, surrounded by local attractions. The dining experience provides a magnificent view but could improve in terms of healthier options. The facilities are good, with room for enhancement.

The riad certainly lacked the charm of other riads we've stayed in, which is disappointing considering the tariffs they charge. The room was adequate for what I paid, but it smelled stale and stuffy, as if not aired enough or too damp. It wasn't as great as the photos make it look.
